The 'noble lie' That a group supports the notion of a noble lie doesn't inform us one bit about whether some particular thing it does or claims to be is a lie. It only leaves open the possibility. >>A ruling elite of political philosophers must make those decisions because it is the only group smart enough.<< All the more reason to have a powerful central government.
