AMD is the next 3Com.

3Com's little misadventure with Huawei seemingly did a number on Cisco in China.

3Com probably will become incidental roadkill once their use is over, and similarly AMD could very well be too. It's not like Hector cares about what will happen to AMD in 10 years.

Back at the ranch, funny how Congress considers it inappropriate if a large company "kills" a small competitor (aka "antitrust misbehavior), meanwhile, it's perfectly okay for small competitors to sleazily run off to China, so China can whack America's F500's with stolen IP. Congress needs to redefine antitrust in the global context of those types of adventurous global partners.

Regards,
Amy J

Re: "It is AMD that is spilling their guts."

I agree, there is something completely immoral if not illegal in letting amd sell their process technology to the Chinese government. It's treasonous sh**. Maybe amd figured China was stealing the technology anyway so they might as well sell it.

A few years ago the US wouldn't let high tech computers sell to China and now amd is going to whore the technology away to them. A fitting end for amd would be for Intel to hurry up and CRUSH the life out of that traitorous firm.
