DeLay shot himself in the foot.

He made a big push to have charges dropped. One charge was dropped, the weakest one. Now the D.A. is appealing that decision. The appeal will take time. DeLay set himself up for a DeLay that may stretch out beyond his January deadline.

DElay should get life in prison. I consider him the moral equivalent of Tookie Williams before he reformed himself.

Delay's example of corruption has probably cost US taxayers something in the area of 500 billion bucks. Of course, he only skimmed .005% of it personally. Some of which he used to indirectly pay for the smearvets campaign against Kerry, who would have stopped all this corruption dead in its tracks.

Kerry is a tough warrior against corruption.
