its an interesting case. i believe xon paid billions for clean up and i thought there wasn't a lot of lasting damage. however, lawyers came out of the wood work and now want a lifetime of income for every fisherman in alaska.

if it was a small company that owned the ship this issue would never have come up.

reminds of epa , local environmentals. big company they keep pressure on to get the whole town fixed up , the ball parks, the fire department. once the big company says that's it i tried to be a good citizen and sells the place.. like a local refinery.. all of a sudden the epa demands, local demands, wages etc all seem to go back into the woodwork. Why, because the next alternative is close the place.
