Its alleged that two Lebanese men got into a fight with some lifeguards. Its also alleged that groups of Lebanese men went around threatening Aussie women. Telling them that they were sluts because of the fact that they where wearing normal modern bathing suits rather than covering themselves up as the Lebanese men thought they should, and threatening them with rape. In earlier incidents there where a number of cases where groups of Lebanese men did gang rape young Australian women, and tried to defend themselves at trial by saying their culture supported such acts, and that women who didn't cover themselves up got what they deserved. Most of those allegations are unfounded and have been spread by while supremacists both in AU and the US. What magazines or papers do you read that you knew about this stuff.......it was the first time I've heard such claims and had to do a search to find out more info on the subject? What's true is that in 2002 some Lebanese gang members raped several white women. At the time, they got the worst sentence ever handed down for rape in Australia........55 years. What that has do specifically with attacking people with darker skins on a beach 3 years later totally mystifies me. Men rape women all the time. Men rape men all the time. Men rape children all the time. White men rape black women. Black men rape white women. Black men rape Asian women. Latino men rape white women. White men rape white women. Black men rape black women. Asian men rape white women. And women rape men sometimes. Why is it when its another race, a darker race, the crime becomes much more serious, warranting a 55 year sentence as opposed to a 30 year sentence for a white man? Why is it that every racist, white supermacist rag is having a field day over this one? The Aussie white racists. You did see them on national tv claiming that Australia is for the whites. One slob had it written on his beer belly. Australia, like most Anglo Saxon cultures, has had a history of racism. Before the Lebanese, there were the Greeks, Spaniards and Italians, and before them the aborigines. This is nothing new. Try to imagine what would have happened had two white Australians assaulted two Lebanese lifeguards and the Lebanese decided to riot like the white Aussies did. First, it would never happen in a million years but if it did, the rioting Lebanese would be seriously injured or dead by now. I can't imagine how the innocent Lebanese who got attacked that day and had to be protected by the police must have felt......probably like any innocent woman or man who gets raped. Like the women who got raped by the Lebanese gang. Very sad. does that really sound reasonable to you? Do my earlier and current statements? Yes. You think its reasonable because two lifeguards got assaulted that people should demand that Australia be only for white people and that everyone should conform to what those white people think is the way to exist? And Tim, instead of looking at the surface and concluding that the riots were caused by Leb. guys calling white women sluts, I would look a little deeper into the matter. You see the Lebanese Christians and Muslims in Australia have moved into the white blue collar suburbs of Sydney and often are competing for the same jobs while willing to take a lower wage. This comes as blue collar jobs in general are declining in Australia. Naturally, the blue collar whites feel threatened and angry. That feeds the animosity from the typical conflicts all humans encounter with each other every day. What you saw in the riots is that animosity boiling over into anger and rage. The irony of all of this is that both groups, the Lebanese and the blue collar Aussies, are the victims of the ruling class who long ago decided to open up AU immigration laws in the hopest of encouraging cheaper labor to move AU. Guess what.........it worked. ted
