Thanks for the kind words, Rick, although I'm not sure I quite deserve them -- mostly VPHM-picking for a 6-bagger, rather than broader stock-picking (although I suppose that's one of the theories for us amateurs at biotech - invest in a handful and do fine, or at least be rescued from the disasters, if [when?] you get lucky and one of your picks goes to the moon). Mostly I just listen to what the serious guys in SI-Biotech land have to say. It sure would have been nice (especially for patients, but also for us) if we hadn't been blindsided with Tysabri, although in the real world I'm doing fine with ELN. I didn't sell it after Tysabri was pulled, and bought some more in the range of 7-8 (some on the way down, some on the way back up). This was in any event above my average cost, since I still have a slug I bought at about 1.19 at the depth of the SEC troubles. Not that I wouldn't be happier without the explosion.<g> And I am still astonished that my other 20% pick, SEPR, is still in the 50's, and below its 12/31 close, with all it has going for it. I expect both ELN and SEPR will be on my entry for next year, possibly with the same weighting. I'll enter, even though I've spent too little time on biotech for the last 18 months, a lot more on energy issues (and on building a new house). Anyone want to organize an energy stock-picking contest? I've contributed my promised $500 to The J.F. Kapnek Trust, via the website. Plainly a worthy outfit. Thanks. The usual warning about the asymmetrical IRS treatment of donations by check and donations by credit card - Message 19600830 - probably isn't much relevant here, where the online donation is charged electronically and pretty much instantly to the credit card.

Congratulation Rick. Well deserved. Also, congratulation to other who done well with model portfolio and with real life portfolios. This was a good year for bios. Hope next one will be even better. Cheers, Miljenko
