I am not sure do you mean the economy in China will slow down, or do you mean the Chinese gov. is switching from emphasizing GDP growth to equality of growth?

The latest data showed 0.5% of richest Chinese control 60% of all the personal wealth.

So it is crucial for Chinese gov. to take some effective measures to shrink the gap bet. the rich and the poor. Otherwise, it will be very hard to maintain the social stability in China. Furthermore, more and more Chinese, officials or regular people, have realized that the high GDP growth does NOT do much good for China.

After all, Chinese people have the tradition of revolution from Mao Zedong. And as much as the West thought Mao were unpopular among the majority of Chinese, the fact is just opposite. Mao was/is/has been very popular among the Chinese poor, and now getting more popular among the Chinese middle class and the Chinese youth.
