Anyone is welcome to stay who remains polite.

Polite is my middle name. Have not even called anyone silly or bizarre.

I will just say that you are translating my anti-Bush stance (which is very clear) with a leftwing ideological orientation that I don't possess.

As previously posted. I stand corrected.

Go back and read the thread from the beginning and you will find most positions I advocate (with a few exceptions) fall squarely in the middle of the political spectrum.

Don't have the time nor inclination. Don't get defensive. I'm not attacking.

Which includes Bush and his performance. He is not supported by a majority or trusted by a majority.

Too early to tell. Your belief in polls is not conclusive evidence. A democratic takeover of the House or Senate will affirm your view.

His domestic agenda is in tatters because he lacks the political capital even in his own party to get tax and fiscal measures passed.

New Fed Boss looks good and was supported by dems. Time will tell on the rest.

Overseas he may or may not succeed in Iraq, but there is not much else in his foreign policy for me to like.

He has already succeeded in Iraq. The question before us is whether the Iraqi people can handle a modified form of democracy and if they can maintain a peaceful country with distributed political powers.

So I will continue to take a very critical stance on Bush, and an objective look at potential candidates for 2008, plus monitoring the pulse of the 2006 elections.

Why a "critical" look at Bush and an "objective" look at the candidates? Critical = faultfinding, censorious
Objective = unbiased, equitable

Personally, I think the conservative crusade is coming to an end again, like it did in the early 1990's. What comes next isn't clear.

The conservative "crusade" getting weaker? Doubt it. Joe and Jane voter are not looking forward to more sex scandals and lowering moral values like we enjoyed with the clintons.

Trying to guess will be fun. That is my main purpose here.

Agree, whole heartedly! Hopefully, I was polite in my response to your post.
