The Fed is charged with keeping a stable monetary policy and sound financial system. The POTUS is in charge of this country's economic policy which focuses on economic growth and tax revenues. The President appoints and the Congress approves the leadership of the Fed. My initial post was that Bush's policies helped to eliminate the threat of a spiraling recession. Obviously the AG rate decisions helped. If you wish to give AG all the credit - be my guest.
