Drive Image 4 was one of the best programs I ever owned. 100% reliable and an easy interface. I just went to Windows XP last July, (used Win98 since the release) and was forced to get Ghost, I ended up buying Ghost because it was suppose or has Drive Image technology in it.

The look and feel of Ghost is going to take some getting use to, there must be a way to get rid of that memory hog on my task bar, I just haven’t had time to read the support pages on Symantecs site.

I am trying and stay away from products from Symantec. On my new computer, I ditched Norton Utilities, and firewall and virus software. The only product I have from them on that system is Ghost 10.

It seems every time Symantec gets their hands on a program, it goes downhill (too many bugs that won't go away, even if you un-install and re-install the program).

Power Quest was a great company (products and service), I called tech support many times (for free) and had great service from them and loved their products.

Time will tell if I keep Ghost, I didn’t even know there was other companies using that technology until I read it here.

If I don’t like Ghost I can go with Acronis True Image.

Just my 2 cents worth..

PS
Poeple need disk image software on their computers, it's the only way to backup now-a-days.

Do you disable your anti-virus program when you take an image with Ghost 10?

I’m so use to the boot disks and Drive Image 4. It feels really strange to image my hard drive will all those apps running in the background, from boot disks sure makes more sense, but that’s not an option with Ghost.

I have not restored an image with Ghost 10 yet, taken a few but never restored yet. I also use the verify option when I image the drive.

Just wondering what you do..

Thanks in advance.
