Many, I have no idea what unit he was in. His family has a lot of photos from his stint in the Air Corps, and maybe they would know. I saw them when I visited, and the bomb group may have been shown, but I don't remember. I did see one of his crew mates. I think he had completed his 23rd mission when they were stopped because of the advancement of ground troops toward Germany. He was mad because he couldn't remove the padding in his hat that made it stiff. Only those that completed 25 missions could do that.
