That argument works both ways. How much time must pass without an attack before you accept that the threat has been overstated?

You are the one who mentioned a different path. I don't need one.

At a minimum, Bin Laden declared war on us in February and May 1998. He has shown a willingness to kill Americans. The threat is real for me and cannot be overstated. In fact, that is the problem today with many Americans. They have already forgotten. Bin Laden and his extremists are patient. IMO, our open borders and loose attitude will cost us in the future. I'm hoping it isn't too big a price. If it does occur, today's naysayers about Bush using NSA to spy will whine that the administration did not do enough to discover the attackers beforehand. Call me negative. I am, when it comes to the safety of my family and this country.
