I think the first sign was when Dubya was giving one of his pre-planned speeches before a military audience, and when he paused for applause after giving a code phrase, he was met with resounding silence. He seemed confused, but that has been a recurring theme. Sending Cheney was a major mis-calculation. Can there be any in Iraq who are unaware that Cheney had "other priorities" when it came to Vietnam?
