Then what he says and what he does are two different things. He didn't get the warrants for wiretaps of American Citizens. What happened? Who did he tap in to? Why didn't he get warrants? The law is flexible and allows that warrants be sought within 72 hours after wiretaps are begun, so it's not a road block to security. It's simply constitutional guaranteed checks and balances. Bush chose to ignore them.

“I don’t give a goddamn,” Bush retorted. “I’m the President and the Commander-in-Chief. Do it my way.”

“Mr. President,” one aide in the meeting said. “There is a valid case that the provisions in this law undermine the Constitution.”

“Stop throwing the Constitution in my face,” Bush screamed back. “It’s just a goddamned piece of paper!”

Once again, for you retarded parrots: George Bush has NEVER lied to the American people. He was elected because Clinton lied every chance he got, and the people were fed up with liars like Clinton and Gore Your America-hating Democrat pals have responded with Leninist LIES that "Bush lied". But as 2002, and 2004 prove out, the people can see straight through you anti-Americans, and pay no attention.

Tis the FATE of ALL Marxist/Leninists...

Re: "any time you hear the United States government talking about wiretap, it requires-a wiretap requires a court order. Nothing has changed, by the way. When we're talking about chasing down terrorists, we're talking about getting a court order before we do so."

Gee... that *does* seem a little disingenuous, now doesn't it?

(I'm sure it wouldn't fool any bonafide foreign terrorists --- pretty sure all of them expect EVERYTHING that electronically passes through the US to be listened to --- but it might confuse some American citizens... who tend not to parse words with the skill and disdain of a politician.)
