"Secondly, there are such things as roving wiretaps. Now, by the way, any time you hear the United States government talking about wiretap, it requires -- a wiretap requires a court order. Nothing has changed, by the way. When we're talking about chasing down terrorists, we're talking about getting a court order before we do so. It's important for our fellow citizens to understand, when you think Patriot Act, constitutional guarantees are in place when it comes to doing what is necessary to protect our homeland, because we value the Constitution."

So Bush lied when he said this? He now authorizes wiretaps with out any court order. How can this be so?

"should we jail and expell Bush?"

Some extreme Bush (and America) haters on the left think we should. Do you? My answer is a firm no.

What did you expect him to say, btw? Nothing has changed and wiretaps that require fisa approval still do. But the INTERNATIONAL tracking of terrorists that we are at WAR with will go on, even if the terrorists happen to run (or live) in the USA.

Many, many folks on the left are against this practice. Anti-American imo to attack our CinC during a war based on a technicality that the critics are not even analyzing correctly.
