As you pointed out with E and Dale i found their smugness insufferable. You and about 99% of the site that has come into contact with them. Of those who actually seem to like them, I find THEM insufferable! :-) I refused to let dale off the hook for his lack of consideration of the human toll of 9/11 so i got banned ostensibly for calling E "hopelessly naive" which of course is true. That was so stupid I can't find words to describe it. There is almost nothing you can do to damage your credibility and reputation more than what he and she did. I think Ray Duray beat them, but that's about it. I have fought with the righties too on Bills thread. There are certain people there who I suspect belong in cages for the good and safety of the rest of us. I arch for the truth and it takes me to where it takes me. I consider myself first and foremost a TR type progressive Hmmmm. Gonna get into any wars? :-) Unfortunately since Reagan (who imo was a true progressive) the dems have offerning nothing but rejectionism and reaction. To a certain extent Reagan got lucky. He was in the right place at the right time- -the time the USSR would come unglued. But, my GAWD, he played the hand dealt him masterfully! Considering the danger involved in having a major power fall apart, the low extent of the bloodshed should be forever counted to his credit. I hope for the rebirth of the dems with at least a progressive (as opposed to knee jerk liberal) domestic agenda but i am not holding by breath. I too. I'd like to see one I could actually vote for without barfing. It used to happen. The other disadvantage of having the Dems so enfeebled is the the Republicans can run ANYONE in many elections and win. And they have done just that.
