People step up like truman and fail like carter. I have affection for bush but his "loyalty" borders on the ridiculous at times. I am a business guy. When folks like rummy fail in ops they get fired. It happens all the time. Hell look at sports coaches and managers. Even if i am wrong about rummy perception make it incumbant for a change at defense and we still dont have one. Look back at other admins and you will find few with so many long tenures. Exceptions are paul oneill and larry lindsay. Mike PS in the day you and i would be considered scoop jackson democrats. Now we are labeled as nazis by the hyped up left.
