VIX at 10.29 today - is the lowest close that I can remember

actual S&p500 volatility is in the 7's. Vix is a premium to actual underlying.

Interesting that Feb VIX futures still hang above 14. Why don't traders sell them? Looks like free money. They short poots in quantities which is more risky, why not VIX futures?
