I wasn't seriously thinking that flood insurance would be needed. I'm something like 230 feet above sea level (I just installed Google Earth) and not near enough to any river. I was just engaging in a hypothetical that had little basis in reality. To an extent I was mentally putting myself in the place of some middle class person in NO who didn't have flood insurance. But then if I lived in NO I probably would have bought the insurance unless it is hideously expensive. Tim
