Of course there are many more Democrats and Republicans in Congress and in various administrations who did not serve than there are who did serve. What distinguishes many of the people on the Republican list, however, is the fact that they're such gunfighter-tough talkers willing to send others to war at the drop of a hat, or dollar, or barrel of oil, or to prove we're tough, or for some silly notion of maybe remaking civilization in our image, or something. Ed, Why should we assume electing a Democrat provides a greater chance for living in peace? May I remind you that Democrat Woodrow Wilson got us into WWI; Democrat Roosevelt got us into WWII; Democrat Truman finished WWII and Democrat Truman got us into Korea; Democrat Kennedy got us into Vietnam; Democrat LBJ turned Vietnam into a quagmire and then quit in the middle of it. Democrat LBJ is the only Commander in Chief to voluntarily abandon his position and leave 500,000 US troops on a battlefield he sent them to. uw
