""Let the eastern bastards freeze in the dark" is still echoing in the mountains here."

I guess no one dares ask to share your popcorn? LOL.

Merry Christmas,

Lino…

I considered adding the suggestion about stopping the export of new motor vehicles and manufactured parts for same to the U.S. but somehow, that just didn’t seem to be a viable alternative to a group that desperately seeks to cling to power.

Your list of possible embargos is very telling.
AND… You just had to bring up Bombardier, complete with loans and loan guarantees. :-(

Yup! “The hills (and the mountains) are alive with the sound of protest.”

Here are a few alternates: stop exporting cars to the US...no more potato products until those nasty americans pay full price for our wood.....

I thought the reason they were putting a tax on our wood was because it is so cheap their own lumber industry can't compete. Isn't the dispute that the Americans want our lumber to cost more not less? I have never understood why we couldn't raise the price that Americans pay for softwood lumber, and maybe invest it in the lumber industry?

Somebody from out west please explain this, particularly if they think our lumber is too expensive.

"The burden of a trade embargo shouldn't be laid to rest totally on the east...the west can help too. We could stop exporting our drugs to the US.... now we have a truly unified canadian solution."

I think you would loose on that one!
