Over a million in cash and I am going to buy in Santa Fe, New Mexico, Flagstaff, AZ or possibly in Hawaii.

I wouldn't buy in Dallas if they were giving it away for nothing.

I'm not upset at being priced out. I'm angry at being forced to overpay. Actually, I won't. I'll just wait.

KM should check out Charlotte, Raleigh, Asheville, Atlanta, or Columbia,SC since Texas isn't her cup of tea. Also a ton of other towns in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Good climate, quality of life and affordable housing. For investing in property I'm with you, if I was in Dallas right now I'd be like a kid in a candy store<g>
