That and the medical system costs. Pensions that promised medical are taking it in the wazoo.
As for Unions being the whipping boy...maybe they should be?
GM is still paying laid off workers $29/hour and full bennies. No wonder all the manufacturing is going out of the country.

What about all the golden parachutes where schmucks are paid millions for screwing up a company's bottom line as they walk out the door? What is that doing to corporate costs? Why do you never begrudge them their money?
