Crimson > As a consequence -- in contrast to past wars -- the American people have NOT YET had to pay any significant economic or financial price for the Iraq madness.

What?! With over seven trillion dollars in debt, increasing by two billion dollars a day, the Iraq war costing, I believe but who knows, $300bn plus, the American people ARE paying under this administration like never before.

>>According to current estimates, the cost of the Iraq War could exceed $700 billion.

The Bill So Far: Congress has already approved four spending bills for Iraq with funds totaling $204.4 billion and is in the process of approving a “bridge fund” for $45.3 billion to cover operations until another supplemental spending package can be passed, most likely slated for Spring 2006. Broken down per person in the United States, the cost so far is $727, making the Iraq War the most expensive military effort in the last 60 years.<<

And that's just the money. There are incredible other costs as the article mentions. I'm sorry to have to contradict you on this, but in my opinion there are more than enough reasons already for the American people to be VERY upset and VERY angry with what is happening. And what I find even stranger is that I'm not American and I am.
