is proving itself more than a little adept at accessing global capital - some "hot" but the rate of FDI that has gone into every manner of project is mind boggling -- truly mind boggling. And all this has been accomplished with a savings rate close to 45% of income.

I do not offer myself as the world's expert on China even if I am there often and cover north to south and spend time with the people who are actually running the place -- but I laugh loud and hard at people who think they have it figured out when they have never even seen it once with their own eyes -- that is a real hoot.
