man are you dumb. In the 90s the largest women's health concern was AFGANISTAN, not IRAQ with Saudi Arabia as #2. This is because muslim states do not allow women to be educated, and they disallow basic human dignity like employment for women.

You stupid red state types keep dwelling individual brutality towards woman as if that only went on in IRAQ, get real, there was no comparison between the old SECULAR iraq and the new "modified muslm state" that we have created. IF you are so in favor of the mess we created there why don't you enlist, and send your kids too but if they get killed I have no sympathy. Decent human beings should not fight in unjust wars that destroy the human dignity for half of the people in a country and thats what this war is. Iraq was much better off with Saddam and if we were smart we would *reinstall* him. But now that the tribal warlords in iraq know he was powerless he probably can't lead as he once could.

Womens rights in Iraq are in serious danger. The Islamics won the election, remember, and they don't like women seen or heard from outside the home. Saddma was a major creep in many ways, but on womens issues he was not as bad as many of our Arab allies. Burkhas were not required, for instance, and women could date and hold important jobs.
