Small amounts of pot evidently only make a non addicted person "stupid" for as long as the drug is in their system. Similar to alcohol, evidently, although I think "pot" has a longer half-life. I've personally never even tried any illegal drug, and rarely drink anything much stronger than Diet Coke or Ice Tea. Although I must admit, that I tried Grey Goose a couple of months ago, and found it was great on the rocks. However, one was more than plenty...<ggg> Legal drugs for pain, I've had, and some pretty strong ones during and after operations. Those were necessary, and I was glad to have them, but got off them just as soon as possible....I personally don't like the brain-haze they create. You said: I do not believe you that judges and parole officers and rehab people support a criminal model- unless, I guess, their livelihood is dependent on the criminal model. I'm sorry for you. I don't say something like that unless I've talked it over with more than a person or two. That's why I've suggested people actually get out and talk to someone who is on the battlefield of drug aftermath every day. Many of them will say just the same thing I have. Some may not. There are some trial lawyers that make their living from picking up the pieces of drug abuse. Another thing you can do....go and sit at night in the emergency waiting room in your local public health hospital. Do it for at least 6 hours. Maybe even do it for a couple of nights. Tell me what you think when you get back from that exercise. If you dare to go, that is.
