There is so much we don't know about the DTC mechanics. As a person hoping for the truth to come out in this scammy aspect of the market, anything that calls attention to the problem is a good thing in my view.

Whether enough retail investors can mobilize enough certificates to cause a squeeze is something that I have yet to see. I suspect that MM's will just naked short more unless the number of certificates reaches a critical mass, which is very, very rare as only a few s/h's ever actually do call for their certificates.

The float I believe is about 265 million so even if we pull 100 million from the TA, there is enough leeway to claim "no problem" and even pretend that there is no naked shorting.

If there is an actual takeover offer or a cash dividend, then you would see action, but, again, this is more conjecture than reality.
