How To Tell Democrats From Terrorists

By Dr. Brooks A. Mick

It sure isn't easy to differentiate Democrats from terrorists these days.

1) Both Democrats and terrorists want American troops out of Iraq.
2) Both Democrats and terrorists hate George W. Bush.
3) Both Democrats and terrorists claim American troops are killing and harassing innocent women and children in Iraq.
4) Both Democrats and terrorists claim American troops are an occupying force.
5) Both Democrats and terrorists claim that the war in Iraq was all about oil.
6) Both Democrats and terrorists claim that Bush lied to get the congress to agree to the war against Saddam.
7) Both Democrats and terrorists claim that America is losing the war in Iraq.
8) Both Democrats and terrorists claim that Bush “rushed” into the war, and neither appears to have noticed the year of delay while gathering numerous UN and congressional resolutions and authorizations.

But, to be sure, there is one way to tell Democrats from terrorists:

Democrats claim that they support the troops, while terrorists don't.

I'm focused on 2006. The real question is how big a sweep can the democrats, moderate Republicans and independents make against the dishonest and discredited Bushie rightwing in November?

Can democrats take back both houses, plus state houses in Ohio, Texas, California and other key states, or not? Actually, the question is, where can Bushie rightwingers win? Maybe Utah and Alabama. But some red states will probably turn purple and purple states blue. Ohio for instance should be a bloodbath for Republicans. In fact, the entire midwest. Kerry warned them about Bush outsourcing manufacturing jobs and sure enough --

Also, who will lead the next congress and senate? Probably none of the old faces. The public wants new more honest leadership and will probably get it. Also the religious right candidates will drop like flies.

2008 is way too far off. At this point Kerry, McCain and Warner seem the favorites to me, in no particular order. Hillary may not run and won't win if she does. Guliani is not going to win either. So the current polls are very misleading. They say George Allen might be the GOP nominee. If so, he will get beaten soundly. The public does not want anymore Bushie rightwingers in charge. They had their chance big-time and blew it even bigger-time.
