FDR sure did get us into WW2 to his everlasting credit by playing hardball with the Japanese and taking sides in Europe with Lend Lease and the like. If the US entry had been any later Europe might still be under German control today. The biggest blunders of WW2 was Japans stupid attack on the US and the German's honoring their treating with Japan and declaring war on the US. If neither had happened, the situation in Europe may have become hopeless. Mike

Kennedy and Johnson did in fact get us into vietnam. I am no fan of UW theories but facts are facts. What Eisenhour or his successor Nixon (if he had won in 60) would have done is sheer conjecture. Facts are facts. Just as it would be ridiculous to blame clinton or bush 41 for iraq, it is just as ridiculous to deny our history when dems were in charge.

PS I dont have a clue as to what Dewey would have done in Korea so i wont comment on that war but truman was the pres and thats when the war happened.
