The biggest use of copper is in housing.
If I am not mistaken cars are another big use for it.
I expect copper and industrial metals to take a hit with a serious slowdown in the US which leads to a slowdown in China.

If I am not mistaken I also think there will be some new copper mines coming on line, perhaps I am wrong.

I am not playing copper short. I never suggested that either.
But if copper crashes and remains hugely backwarded buying far out futures might be a damn good play on the LONG side.

Just because copper is in a tight supply constraint, there is no guarantee that supplies remain tight. We are not in a peak copper situation that I am aware of.

BTW, where did I say copper was in a bubble?
I do not think I did. But whether or not it is in a bubble I expect demand for it to drop, possibly very sharply.
