The TV is the interface.

You don't want the TV on in the living room every time you want to play music. A small unobtrusive LCD screen is what you really need, perhaps with the high-def TV as an alternative.

The TV is the interface.

It may be strange, but I don't have a TV in the living room, only in the bedroom. This is to limit access to the TV for the kids.

At some point, when they start making real HDTV (1920x1200p real, not scaled resolution) and the kids are bigger, I may concede and get one.
