My understanding was it was permanent. Basically though, I have a problem with the term "War on Terror." It's like the "War on Poverty" or "War on Drugs." It's not an enemy you can declare victory over. Real wars are declared against specific countries.

Happy New Year to you also. Things are going well here. My daughter is in college now. Children grow up fast.
