I believe in the most powerful human trait of all and that is the instinct for self-preservation. When the invasion began, scientists started getting murdered. What instinct do you think prevailed? That of helping the Americans complete the Iraqi humiliation by telling the Americans about Saddam's WMD program? Or that of keeping their skin alive and awell and not to draw the attention of the Saddam agents that would gladly silence their voices forever?
