Ru1, Re: I also took some profits in both calls and shares.>

I also took some profits in calls. Sold some AMDAGs, Jan 35 '06.

Bid/Asked $0.90/$1.00. I asked $1.00 and was *Instantly* taken out leaving Bid/Ask at $0.90/$1.00.

When that happens there's very strong buying pressure being disguised.

Somebody out there thinks AMD to close options day above $36.00 and has some real buying power with fast trade execution, IMO.

Re:Anyone up for a weekend discussion of other investments?>

OK, I'll bite. Sold some *JUNK* and bought some GM.

My reason? GM's not going into BK.(IMO) They're going to get out of US as much as they can, Screw UAW, Screw Taxpayers, cut dividend, and do OK. 10% dividend 'till it gets cut. 5% after.

I was overweight...and on margin.

Just a couple of the things we should avoid at our age and in the current interest rate environment.

I mentioned that I was trading SUNW. I also picked up some NVDA.

To me, SUNW looks like the DEC of the decade.

I haven't looked at (worried about) NVDA lately, but you stimulated me to check the price and it made me smile. They've got at least something going on with DELL.

All this chat about the Seagate drive reminded me that someone (cruzbay?) was touting STX a couple of months ago and I cannot stop kicking myself.
