Exactamundo. Bush knew (ok, he knows nada but his handlers knew) that what they were doing was beyond even FISA even in a 'post 911 world.'

So were they spying on too many people to get past FISA? Were they spying on the wrong people to get past FISA?

Oh heck, maybe they were spying on the FISA judges themselves...wouldn't THAT be a kick.

It's like a scandal a week these days. I'm looking forward to the rest of this year and what Fitzmas may bring.

The spying is on foreigners communicating with people in America. I don't know why Democrats think Americans have a right to secret communications with the enemy during wartime.
