Phil > the danger of future nuclear weapon development by Iran would forever exist in any case, and could threaten and endanger the world at some future time.

Sorry, I don't buy that one. Despite the fact that today many nations have nuclear weapons, the US remains the only one which has used them on people -- and, indeed, threatens to do it again. If any nation is likely to bring to world into a nuclear war it is the US, not Iran.

Phil, here's a good piece by Charley Reese -- at least, I think so:

antiwar.com

>>Every Muslim on Earth knows we are hypocrites of the first order. We say to Iraq, you must obey United Nations resolutions or we'll go to war to enforce them. We say to Israel, you can ignore United Nations resolutions because we will make sure none of them is enforced. You Muslims must not have nuclear weapons, but it's OK for the Israelis to have them. It's the biggest and most obvious double standard on Earth.

The missing ingredients in America's current foreign policy are justice, honesty and simple fairness.<<
