LOL! You were right - last week there WAS a completed impulse - it was 1 of 5... -g. But now, it seems that the structure of the next larger degree may begin to look for a top. May extend, of course. Got to look for signs.

On a more serious note, looking at SPX, the gap and the morning run on Jan 6 were bullish, since they confirmed the preceding consolidation as having been corrective in nature. In any case, at that point attention should have been focused towards the upside.

Must say that this particular juncture was - imo - hard to call. But generally, as soon as a pullback / bounce are confirmed as corrective, a disciplined approach would require to act on that.
