If she's complaining, maybe you are pushing too much and she should set her own pace, to achieve what she wants, not what you want.

That's a privilege? It sounds like something you'd want to encourage, while worrying yourself sick about what she'll find in the gutter and might want to drag home.

Our 3 daughters made it through to adulthood and one to parent-hood, with small wounds. Fortunately we aren't allowed guns in NZ for interpersonal relations or there are times when I'd have wondered whether a shotgun should be standard equipment for fathers. Fortunately, mothers have a better sense of proportion in regard to daughters and keep the rabid fathers in line. See "Father of the Bride".
