Haqihana, Easy solution for that. Get a cell phone. Keep it turned off until you need to use it. I didn't turn off the phone because of the few telemarketers I got who I spoke Spanish into my voicemail. I turned the phone off when some drunk started calling here a couple of times a day AND (by most people's standards) late at night, looking for "Veronica." Ah, peace! BTW, I do translations at computer swapmeets, and other such, translating English into English, my services coming into increasing demand. <g> - Holly

We're on different subjects. I was discussing globalization, trade, and industrialization in general, not just telemarketing. You seem to have bad luck. Maybe. Or maybe they pick on your part of the country more. I just hang up as soon as I identify it as a marketing call. I seem to have dropped off their lists. I suspect things like ordering over the net, etc., also get into this. And I agree with you about this. You pay for that phone, not them; you should get to decide who uses it. If they don't like your actions or attitudes, tough.
