Was it this poison carrot dangling threateningly which pushed him towards compromise on the issue? When he finally agreed to the submarine deal the nationalist within his own party were infuriated and consequently tilted the election against him. He was caught between a rock and hard place while the Jewish state escaped with billions in new submarines with the potential to launch their illegal nuclear weapons.
