vz fios is exploding. ceo is pushing all the money into laying optic cable . we got in our development mid summer, lines tested and installation to home started a month ago. already comcast lost about ten customers in development. dsl not available or may be available depending on your exchange. trying to call a vz. dsl customer service and get some help . almost impossible. lines always busy,(not enough reps to handle calls), as vz putting money in fios , customer service reps pick up on first ring. I was told work crews are installing from 50 to 70 homes a day with fios. no idea how many crews vz has in a district but one maintenance man said they are doing installations by themselves , usually a two person job. takes about four hours in home to connect and run lines and connect house phones to optic cable. etc. package includes free installation and free wireless for internet connection in home with lap top etc.

barrons a couple months back had full two or three page article and interview with ceo. may enjoy reading it at library .

maintenance person told me land lines are not being maintained.
