Individual and states rights (more accurately constitutional restrictions on federal power rather then "states rights") are no technicalities but rather important principles.

Cons today, including moi, didnt realize for instance that poor folks in N.O. didnt have cars or access to cars or families with cars so they could get out in time. Thats what we need liberals for i guess. They keep us honest from time to time.

That shows your lack of knowledge concerning the subject of New Orleans politics...the poor people couldn't get out because the DEMOCRAT NO Mayor and the DEMOCRAT LA Gov...got their sorry butts out of NO, but left the poor people to fend for themselves. BUSES WERE BROUGHT IN, BUT THE MAYOR SAID HE WANTED GREYHOUND BUSSES, NOT SCHOOL BUSSES AND LEFT THE SCHOOL BUSSES TO FLOAT AWAY.
