It may be a little late now but I have always thought Nuclear development should have been encouraged as a globally collaborative enterprise. I started this thread a while back to explore the idea of 'International Consortiums', with alternative energy as the primary concern. Subject 55897 As long as the focus is on a win/lose scenario, I believe we are headed for a fire storm.

We have no business going to Iran either. I don't know anyone who thinks we should go in (including those few folks I know who are conservative). Is there anyone on SI who thinks this- aside from the right? Do you have a post from someone who thinks this? I find it extremely hard to believe you've met 3 "leftwing" people who believe that. Why don't you tell us what you mean by "lefetwing"? Do you mean they are to the left of Pat Robertson?
