It may be a little late now but I have always thought Nuclear development should have been encouraged as a globally collaborative enterprise.

I started this thread a while back to explore the idea of 'International Consortiums', with alternative energy as the primary concern.

We have no business going to Iran either. I don't know anyone who thinks we should go in (including those few folks I know who are conservative). Is there anyone on SI who thinks this- aside from the right? Do you have a post from someone who thinks this?

I find it extremely hard to believe you've met 3 "leftwing" people who believe that. Why don't you tell us what you mean by "lefetwing"? Do you mean they are to the left of Pat Robertson?

That would surprise me. To the extent that you run across examples of that, I'd appreciate your posting them.
