Down 14 so far, pants fit much better.

Attaboy JPG!

I looked my 8-year-old in the eye and told her that she's going to see her Dad thin for the first time this year.

That's a powerful motivator there.
You'll succeed.

My motivation is that I'm turning 40 this summer and I want
to be younger at 40 than I've been throughout my thirties.

I'm tired of being out of shape and my kids deserve a Dad who
will be there for them for a long time. I've been on a
highway towards a heart attack or stroke for too long. I'm
getting off that road now and onto a healthier one.

A nice country road.

My kids saw a picture of me from when I was in high school
and could not recognize me at all. I'm going to live a life
now that gets me back to that shape.

I will not fail myself this time.

<Keep up the good work and the status reports; they're helping me out here>

You are totally in this thing with us! Daily reports are expected. We had a hockey game against a team we hadn't beaten in 4 years - we beat'em. I was so wasted (from coaching) I used the rowing machine for 20 minutes when we got back from the rink..feel good now.

Great to have you in it - Clappy and I need the motivation. Your point about getting in shape for your kid is wonderful...makes huge sense.
