Would any of these injuries have been prevented if the victims had been wearing helmets?

Oh Holy Cow. When I was 14 years old, I too broke my wrist at Stratton Mountain (I grew up in NY) and was taken to the "clinic" to get the bone set and a cast placed on my arm.

3 weeks later in NY, the cast came off and my arm was a twisted mess. I had to have my wrist re-broken and put in a cast for 2 months.

The "clinic" at Stratton Mountains sucks donkey balls, at least it did 20 years ago. My wrist has given me "issues" ever since.

Moral of the story, beware of the medical attention at ski area. Better yet, don't get hurt and do wear a helmet.
