When I was 6 yrs old, our cat did the same thing to me about midnight. Saved my life. I went to the hospital in an ambulance, sirens and flashing lights. Turned out I had become so dehydrated, the doc's said I came within 2 hrs of dying. Doc said to give the cat fresh tuna for the rest of her life as a reward. Next summer while I was at a summer camp, our cat ran across the highway and got squashed by a big county dump truck. Some reward, huh? Poor Rusty, sniffle.
