9/11 was convenient for getting a lot of the GOP agenda going : invading Iraq, more tax cuts for the wealthy, a toy helicopter money drop, Patriot Act, domestic spying (excused it retroactivly lol), biometric passports, new "green" pipeline between the neo Cons and Haliburton, new bloatware gov't in Dept. of Homeland Security. 9/11 was used in fear mongering, as Cheney promised that a vote for Kerry was a vote to have your city wake up dead to a nuclear explosion. Etc. I wonder what George Orwell would write today for a sequel if he were still alive?
