The hardware infrastructure Google has put in place has actually created a barrier to entry of sorts. There is the Internet economy and now the Google Economy. AskJeeves became a billion dollar company from a penny stock because of Google. There are micro and macro economics created by google. It's amazing. Anyone else read Vise? There should have been a better segue from Google trying to emulate Warren Buffet to Buffet's company GEICO suing Google. Looks like retaliation to me but the author never made that transition. KeepItSimple, RE: With a cult stock, discussing numbers is akin to counting the number of angels that can dance on the head of a pin- POINTLESS. That is just plain wrong. After the Bubble burst a couple of years ago, you could buy a lot of busted 'net stocks below the value of their net assets. You could buy a cult stock like RHAT that also happened to have a fine business for cheaper than net tangible book. In the case of GOOG, you are just as guilty as some of the bulls on this thread of getting emotional about this stock to the point that you lose reason. A statement like you make above is a perfect indicator of that loss of reason. Just because your opinion is the opposite of theirs doesn't make the emotion any less damaging.
