re: It's funny how some associate the hiring of illegal immigrants with "evil corporate America," but in reality corporate America would never get away with it on a systematic basis. It's the small businesses, the mom-n-pop shops, and the individual homeowners who are hiring the illegals, not Wal-mart.

You may have missed agribusiness, not exactly "mom-n-pop". Nor is the construction trade "mom-n-pop".

re: Based on their interviews and counts at each hiring site, the researchers estimate there are about 117,600 day laborers nationwide, but say that number is probably low.

What percent of total illegals do you think the 117K day labors represent? Who hires the rest?
